Refund policy
We hope you love your purchase, however, we understand that things just don't work out sometimes and returns are needed. We want to make the process as simple and easy for you as possible.
RETURNS:
Return items must be postmarked within 7 days of the delivery date.
Returns postmarked within 8 - 14 days of delivery date are eligible for store credit only.
Once the return is received by us and inspected, approved returns will be processed within 5 business days.
After 14 days, we are unable to accept returns on any purchases.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
To be eligible for a refund or store credit, your item must be:
*Unused and in its original condition.
*In the original packaging and have the original tags still attached (if applicable).
*Free of smells such as perfume, deodorants, smoke, pets, etc.
The following items are FINAL SALE and may not be returned:
*Jewelry
*Sunglasses
*Any items that are considered intimate wear, such as swimwear, camisoles, and socks.
*SALE ITEMS: anything discounted more than 25% is non-refundable.
Additional non-returnable items:
*Gift cards
REFUNDS: (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund request.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 to 10 business days.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS: (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

SALE ITEMS: (if applicable)
Unfortunately, sale items that have been discounted by 25% or more cannot be refunded.
EXCHANGES: (if applicable)
We will gladly replace items if they are defective or damaged. Please send us an email at elizabeth@dixielanddreams.com along with a picture of the defective or damaged item(s).
Because we are a small business and our inventory is low, we are unable to exchange items unless they are defective or damaged. We simply cannot guarantee that an item you are trying to exchange will still be available when the return package reaches our store.
If you need a different size/color in an item, you can either:
*Reorder the item in the size/color you need and then send the original item back to us (must be postmarked within 7 days) for a refund.
*Return the item for a refund or a store credit, and if the item is still available, you may then purchase the size/color you need.

Please include a note with your name, order #, and the reason for your return with the merchandise you are returning.
*You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
*If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
You may use the shipping carrier of your choice, but we strongly suggest that you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. You should also keep track of the tracking and/or insurance information. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
DAMAGED ITEMS:
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt.
If you believe you have received defective or damaged merchandise, you MUST contact us within 3 days of receipt. No exceptions.
If we do not receive notification that you received damaged or defective merchandise within 3 days of your receipt, the return will be rejected for exchange, store credit or refund.
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please follow these directions:
*Take a photo of the damaged or defective merchandise that includes the tag in the image still attached (if applicable).
*Email the photo(s) to help@dixielanddreams.com with "Damaged" or "Defective" in the subject line of the email.
*Include the order # and product name of the item in the body of the email along with any further details you think we should know about the condition of the merchandise.
Once an order has been placed, the order cannot be canceled and items cannot be removed from the order.
